It’s become somewhat of a Worthen family tradition to meet our good friends Daniel and Brittany (and now their son Gideon) every fall at the regionally-famous Huber’s Farm in Southern Indiana. The past few years, we have gone up to pick our pumpkins for Halloween. This year, we decided to make the 30-minute drive from Louisville a bit early and pick apples. Actually, Kristin did the picking of the apples. I spent most of the day kicking the apples that had already fallen on the ground. (Turns out, apples are surprisingly gratifying to kick.) Then, it was off to Huber’s Restaurant to get some good ol’ fashioned home cooking. In case you were wondering, yes, Gideon enjoyed the mashed potatoes.
